NEW WELL VS. WELL REHABILITATION

Often when a well stops producing water, the home owner’s initial reaction is to call in an expert to drill a new well in another location. Sometimes that is needed, and Keystone provides excellent new well service. Tim is experienced and knows where to drill, and when it’s necessary to start new vs. cleaning out your existing well. This can be cost saving as well as not creating a new well when it’s not needed.

Minerals and ground materials can built up inside the well, and just need to be cleaned out to continue using it for years to come. This is Well Rehabilitation. Example of when a new well is needed even though there is an existing one:

• when your well is only 60 feet deep, when it should be 120 feet deep, it may be better to start new

HOW DEEP IS A WELL?

Wells usually run from 100 – 300 feet deep. The amount needed is determined by your land and the water flow. Keystone will know exactly how deep your property needs to be drilled. The equipment used is capable of drilling 150 feet per hour.
